Marcel Hit tin, commenting on tha violent German artillery work oil Pepper Hill and Oouaumont, says we must expect the Crown Prince to tako the offensive. The French Staff anticipates two German offensives on the west front, and have taken precautions everywhere.—"Tho Times." KAISER AND CROWN PRINCE (Rec. January 24, 5.5 p.m.)' Rome, January 25. . The "Corriere D'ltalia" states that the relations hetweon the Kat'ser and the Crown Prince are strained. Tho Grown Princo is chagrined because ho was not promoted Field Marshal in recognition of his services at Verdun, which he claims -upset the Entente's plans. The Kaiser is annoyed because the Crown Princo declines to recognise Hindenburg's orders.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
