AUSTRIA'S BANKRUPTCY
REPUDIATION OF DEBTS Turinj January 23. The Austrian Government lias prohibited all payments from Austria for goods supplied from external sources before January 1. Swiss exporters are chiefly affected. The "Journal de Goneve" says: "This is Austria's bankruptcy," and attacks Austria's dishonesty, and: declares that Germany appears to havo taken the same courso, as remittances are long overdue. —Aus.-N.Z.
