MAXIMUM FIXED FOR "WELLINGTON. The maximum wholesale price of milk sold for retail consumption ill "Wellington has been fixed by Ordei'-in-Councii at 10' d. per gallon, when sold and delivered on the usual trade terms. • In the case of milk sold' for retail distribution within the district to which flic 'Order-in-Couneil relates, otherwiso than 011 the usual trade terms, tho maximum wholesale price thereof is to be a price equivalent as regards the seller to the maximum price abovementioned. , Tho district to which the Order-in-Couneil relates consists of the boroughs of Wellington, Miraniar, Karori, Onslow, Lower Hutt, Petor.e, and Eastbourne, the town districts of Johnsonvillo and "Upper Hutt, and the counties of Hutt and Makara. The effect of this Order-in-Council is to prevent an inrreaso in the retail price of niilk, which has been threatened owing to advances in tho wholesale price. The matter was considered h.v tho Board of Trade, which recommended that the ivholesalo price should not exceed IOJd. per.gallon.
