ANZAC PICTURES
The historic sketches made by Sapper Moore-Jones, now being exhibited at the gallery located in Caledonian Chambers, 33 Willis Street, above Hart Bros., are for the most part in water-colour, or in water-colour and pencil, and defy visualisation in words. For tho visitors' enlightenment, the soldier-artist explains one after the other of them in detail, exactly as was done for the benefit of tho King and Queen' and members of the Royal family, when -tho pictures were exhibitedby Royal Command at Buckingham Palace. Many of the sketches were committed to paper under actual fire, and depict the most vivid descriptions of the landing of the historic Anzacs, and the almost impassablo places which wcro negotiated. Only a few more days remain in which the public will be able to see tho unique exhibition, which is open from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
