ILLEGAL TRADE WITH GERMANY
EXTREMELY HEAVY FINES. (Roc. January 17, 5.5 p.m.) Copenhagen, January 16. The Danish authorities are displaying great energy in. punishing breaches of illegal trade with Germany. A merchant exporting 290 casks of train oil was fined 253,000 kroner (£13,870), and his two assistants Tvere fined eight thousand kroner (£430) and 24,800 kroner (£1345) respectively.—Aus.N.Z.
