If tho campaign in Syria, continues it will be necessary to cut the railways at Alesandretta. Mr. Lovat Fraser, writing in the "Mail," says tho splendid exploits of the Anzacs and Territorials were valuablo because of worrying tho Turks, but they had neither the time nor the strength for vast adventures in Asia. He believes Sir Archibald Murray (Commauder-in-Chief in Egypt) will at some timo take Jerusalem, but the dreams of a united sweep through Asia Minor and North of Arabia were mere moonshine. —Aus.-N.Z.
