GREECE AND ALLIES
DIRECT ANSWER WANTED (Rec. January 16, 0.40 a.m.) London, January 15. Telegrams from correspondents indicate that the Greek Government's implied acceptance of tho Allied ultimatum has delighted the popula.ee, as they expect the withdrawal of troops from Thessaly will prevent Greece joining in tho war, whilst the Venizelist Government will not bo allowed to come to Athens to punish the ltoservists, who are liying in great fear of reprisals. The Allied Ministers aro still asking for a direct answer regarding the release of Venizelists and the establishment of Allied control of certain services.
