It will bo no 0 ticed that 'the'revenue for tho month 0! December, 19i16, as compared with De cember, 1915 ; shows a net decreaso foi tho former month of 4281,346. Notwithstanding tho above de--10 ficienoy, however, the revenuo for the . nine months ended December, 1916, shows a not increase of 41,013,133 over ' the revenue of the corresponding period of l " the previous year, which is duo in a measure to : tho oxtfra duties imposed s last session, but. not entirely so, as the a revenuo has shown wonderful buoyancy 1- throughout the year.
