OBITUARY
RUSSIAN A3JBASSADOR. (Rec. January 12, 8.55 p.m.) London, January 11. Count Benckendorff, the Russian Ambassador, is dead.—Reuter. [Count Benckendorff.. was born in Berlin in August, 1849. He was educated in France and Germany, and entered the diplomatic servico in 1869, He left the service' ill 1876;' and reentered it ten years later. He was Russian 3linister at Copenhagen, 18971903, and Russian Ambassador in London since 1903.1
