England's - actor knight, Sir Herbert' Beerbohm Tree, will make his first ap j • pearance under the three-cornered sign in a splendid photo drama, entitled "The Old Folks at Home," to be presented this 1 morning at "11 o'clock at Everybody's. 1 The story describes 'the efforts of a g brave old country Senator and his wife 1 to save from the death sentence their s son, who has become entangled witli a •woman of the city, and has shot a man. There are said to be some remarkable 1 scenes in Court, and tho picture is described as the greatest human drama made by the Triangle Company. "THE COMMON LAW." The management of .the Empress Theatre take special pride in the announcement that Clara Kimball Young o will be shown, commencing to-day at 10.30 a.m., in tlie ividely-advertised production of Robert W. Chambers's famous ... novel, 'The Common Law." The story of the book has been' faithfully adhered to, under the direction of Albert Capel- - lani, and the result' is a seven-part photo-. r . play of unusual beauty and dramatic power. The star has been surrounded • by a brilliant cast, including Paul Capellani,.and Edward M. Kimball (Miss Young's father)". The pictures of incidents and scenes of Anzac, painted by Sapper MooreJones, aro attracting considerable attention at the Exhibition Gallery, located at Caledonian Chambers, 33 Willis Street, above Hart Bros. The exhibition, comprises over a hundred sketchesmany of them being the original draw, ings made under fire at the Gallipoll Peninsula. The descriptive lectures given by Sapper Moore-Jones at 11 a.m., ' 1.30 p.m., 4 p.m., and 8 p.m., are followed with great interest by tho largo number of patrons visiting the exhibi- _ tion. Each picture, -with its particular r interest, and tho significance of its de- ' tail, are fully explained.
