ENEMY ATTACK REPULSED London, January 11. A French communique states: —An enemy attack at Bois des Cauriercs, on the right bank of the' Mouse, was repulsed with- serious enemy losses. — Aus.-Jf.55. Cablo Assn. SALIENT TRENCH TAKEN London, January 11. A German official message states: Wo repulsed an attack, with heavy losses, north of Ypres, and drove out the British who penetrated our lino on a • narrow front. The enemy lias occupied a salient trench near Braurirent. — Aus.-N.Z: Cable Assn.-Reuter. MORE BRITISH RAIDS (Rec. January 12, 10 p.m.) London, January 11. Sir Douglas Haig reports:—We captured thipac-quarters of a mile of trench north-east of Beaumont Hamel. A counter-attack was smashed.
