. The executive cominitteo of the Navy League in London has resolved to ' chango the title of the anniversaries . of Trafalgar and of Nelson's death, ' cclobrated each year on October 21, from Trafalgar Day to Nelson Day. Tho object of the change is to express in a permanent form the warmest friendship with France and to increase the interest of the British, people in the sea power of tho Empire, which is personified in the name of Nelson. The executive committee explains that considerable objection was made during the ( past year to the continued use- of the name "Trafalgar," which was regarded in many quarters as being dbjeotionable to the Government and people- of Franco. "It is,hoped that the substitution of the name 'Nelson' as the title r'> the anniversary will he regarded . s a fitting tribute to our gal- 1 lant anil devoted Ally the French nation."
