THE WANGANUI FATALITY. By Telegrnpli—Press Ae«ociation. Wanganui, January 11. Despite inquiries made by the police, the identity of tho man who was killed at Aramoho yesterday by falling under a. train has not beou established. As the result of a communication with tho police at Inglowood, from which place deceased evidently obtained the railway ticket which was found in his pockot, it is surmised "that the victim was William Urry, who resided in tho Inglewood district. A brother is on his way to Wanganui to assist in tho identification. DEATH OF RETURNED SOLDIER. ' Auckland, ■ January 11. A returned soldier named Pte.'Ronald Henry Mayne died iu tho Hospital today. Mayno was shot •fchroTigh tho' lungs on Gallipoli, and 1 was invalided to England, and returned to the Dominion in September. He was afterwards discharged. Deceased was a native of tho United States, and married an English girl whilo at Brockonhurst. His wife is still in England. SUICIDE OV A WIDOW. Christchurch, January 11. A widow named Elizabeth Ryder, aged 58, committed suicide to-day at Lyttelton by cutting her throat with a razor. She had been worrying about her two sons, who are sorving at the front.
