Arthur Myers (president of ' : the Overseas Club, N.Z.), Uio sum of , £262 125., being the balance of funds collected in' Auckland and district for . the purchase of a gift aeroplane of the strongest and best type procurable for presentation to the-War Office. A pre- f vious amount of £2500 had already been collected and forwarded by the comi mitteo in *this connection, so that the War Office is now iu receipt from the citizens of Auckland of a total sum of £2762 12s.j with which it is acquiring s a fully-equipped Onorao-Vickors biplane * for service with the Flying Corps.
