Official.—Mr. Bertram M'Kennai, M.V.0., A.R.A., has designed the King's head and St. George and. the Dragon on the new pound currency notes, which will be issued on January 22.—Ans.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.-Reuter.' [Mr. M'Kenhal designed the coinage for King Georgo V. "His works include a war memorial for Islington, statuea of Queen Victoria for India, Australia, and Blackburn. Ho was born in Melbourne- in 1863.]
