A. REMARKABLE SCENE. (Reo. January 10, 7.15 p.m.) London, January 9. There was a, remarkable scene at the Hotel Cecil, which has been requisitioned for tho Air Ministry. Five hundred guests were ousted at forty-eight hours' notice, including Mr. and Mrs. Massoy and Miss Massoy and Sir Joseph Ward and Lady Ward, who moved to the Savoy Hotel. Many of the guests woro unable to find lodgings or vehicles, and had personally to move 'their belongings in handcarts.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
