January 20, at 8 p.m. Newspaper and parcel mails for Expeditionary Forces will close on Friday, January 12, at noon. Ths next best dispatch for correspondence addressed to United Kingdom and Continent of Europe will close at Wellington on Monday, January 22, at 12.20 p.m. As correspondence for all neutral countries is subject to censorship it Is urged in order to avoid delays that such correspondence be posted in ample time for tho mail, the day previous to its dispatch if possible , Mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti close at Auckland, per Flora, on Tuesday, January Id, at 8.45 a.m. Parcels for dispatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of tho usual ferry steamers for southern offices, close at tho Chief Poßt Office, Wellington, ono hour before tho advertised times of closing of mails. The parcel-post mail per Main Trunk \ express closes at the C.1'.0. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south per ferry Bteamer at 5.45 p.m. , :. . j late letters for mails beyond tho Doj minion cannot in futuro be posted on tho steamer, but must bo posted in tho latc-lctter-posting-box at the Chief Post Office up to the appointed time shown on the mail notice. ' All tho principal mails by train and steamer close at To Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at the same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception that there is no late-fee clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for southern offices close at 5.45 p.m. Mails for Auckland and Auckland district, per second Main Trunk express, close at Courtenay Place at 5.45 p.m., and Te Aro at 8 p.m. A.
