UNDERTAKERS' WORRIES
SCARCITY OF COFFIN-MAKERS. London, January 8. Owing to interment difficulties, resulting from a scarcity of coffin-makers, tho undertakers are approaching the authorities for assistance froin the State. Some coffins are used without lids. There is also a shortage of gravediggers at gome of the cemeteries. Coffins for common graves are -temporarily buried in shallow holes, until the common grave is ready. Cremationists are advocating compulsory cremation.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
