SKINS AND HIDES
The Minister of Commerce (the Hon. .W. D. S: Mao Donald) yesterday instructed: the Crown Law Office to Kβ on with tho scheme for the requisitioning of sheep skins. The hides requisition '.-will probably be accomplished during this week.
According-to information received at Ottawa, German agents in Switzerland have been trying to induce Swiss . peasants to emigrate /to Canada for -the' purpose of spreading foot and mouth disease amongst cattle herds in ..the Dominion. It is stated that these ■ men would nave all their expenses paid .-'•■■ to Canada, and would be supplied with '■'■' small bottles containing cultures of the ."disease. ■ The Canadian immigration .authorities, have been warned to be on -theiJert against the enfry of any such -undesirables.
