London, January 7. ■ Colonel Feyler, the Swiss military expert, writes:—"lt now seems clear that the Soretkline nrast perforce be abandoned. Stubborn rearguard actions are likely, with a view to covering the ovaouation of Galatz, which is scarcely tenable now Braila has gone." Colonel Feyler anticipates a steady fighting retreat across Moldavia to the Pruth line of defence.
