THUNDERSTORM AND RAIN
An electrical disturbance visited the City aud district last evening. Brilliant flashes of lightning and heavy crashes of thunder wero accompanied by a heavy downpour; .which, must have made, welcome music in the ears of those long-suffering suburban householders, whoso sole source of watersupply has been tho tank. To the bowlors tho music would no doubt sound as a series of discords. The official report from the Meteorological Department states that the weather conditions yesterday were warm and hazy, with showers in the northern and -southernmost districts. The glass rose on Saturday, and fell again on Sunday. . Tho . indications arc- ■ for j westerly to southerly winds, _ witll I squally conditions in Cook Strait.-
