DANNEVIRKE SHOW
Tho Dannevirke District A. and P. Association's Bighfli Annual Show, which will be held on February 14 and 15 next, promises to maintain its attractive standard. ' Prize schedules are now being distributed, and may be had on application to the secretary. The hunters' events and other ring competitions are always a strong feature, and these havo been made even more than usually attractive. . A second pony jiunp has been added (for ponies under 13.2). a-turning competition for ladies only, while an item which is bound to create a. great deal of interest is a sheep dog trial. There are two challenge classes allotted by the New Zealand Kennel Club, a number of cups and other good snecial piines to bo competed for. Challenge cups have been allocated to almost all the cattle and sheep sections, and those should encourage strong competition. In the dairy produce section challenge cups have been instituted for both export butter and export cheese, and each year, they will be accompanied by gold medals to eo to tho makers of the winning : exhibits.
PRICE OF CHEESE FIXED London, January 5. Tho prico of cheese has been fixed as follows: —Now Zealand, f.0.b., 9Jd.; Australian, 9}d. All cheese arriving will be commandeered at these prices. The question of allowance for interest and storage, on cheese awaiting shipment will bo adjusted.—Aiis.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
