NATIVE LAND COURTS
TRANSFERS OF JUDGES.
The Minister of Native Affairs (the Hon. W. H. Herries) made a statement' yesterday concerning transfers of Native Land Court Judges :— _ "When the system of stationing Native Land Court' Judges' in different . districts was adopted a few years ago, it was intended that there should bo a periodical reallocation'of the districts. This it is proposed to do during the current year. Judge Wilson, now Judge of the Tokerau or-North-Auck-land district, will move'-to the Waiariki district, -with headquarters at Rotorua.' Judge Wilson mil- he' succeeded by Judge Holland, now Judge of the Waikato districts Judge Holland will ■be succeeded by Judge Jack, now of the Aotoa or Wanganui district, and Judge Browne, now of the Waiariki district, will succeed Judge Jack. Judge Jones, at .present ■ Judge of -the Tairauwhiti or Gisborne district,' will change places with Judge Gilfedder, 'now of Ikaroa and South. Island tricts. These changes will take place after the end of the financial year, and he in operation as soon.as.- the Easter holidays arc over.
