' An electric light, carnival will be held ou tno spacious grounds of the AVelling: toil Bowling Club's green on the evening oi" Tuesday and Wednesday, the 9th and 10th instant, for patriotic purposes. Tho Trentham Band have kindly consented to give their services each evening. A grand concert will be given each evening, organised by Mr. E. J. HiHi which should bo a guarantee that the best of talent will I>b available. Also the surprise packet competition, which was so popular in connection with.raising funds for patriotic purposes on previous 'occasions, wiU be nn item of special interest. Each packet will, bear tho hall mark of tho Dominion Bowling Association. A drawing competition with lx>wls -will bo feature each evening. Ladies and men will both "be entitled to compete, and this innovation should be a great ■ attraction. •will be several side shows, which will lend additional attraction to this carnival. Entranco to the grounds and competitions will not he confined to howlers only. The general public is invited, and tho object being for patriotic purposes it should meet with worthy snpport.
