PRISONERS TO WORK GN THE LAND London, January 2. About ten. thousand German prisoners are available for work on the land. Mr. R. E. Prothero, Minister .of Agriculture, is hard at work preparing a scheme to increase home-grown supi plies. He intends to utilise all German prisoners who are skilled in agriculture. The men will etart work _in Cornwall and Devon, where sgring farming operations begin earliest, and ! work their way northwards.
