WAR LOAN CERTIFICATES
Sir, —On going recently to a post ofjico to change some £10 certificates into £1 certificates, I was much' surprised "to find that it could not bo done. I was told, in effect, that it would not bo possible to noto against the numbers of tho new certificates in the books of tho post office the fact that they had been issued in exchange for certain other certificates of a larger denomination, which had been received back. Yet, and particularly if tho transaction takes placo at tho post office at which the latter were originally issued, it should not be impossible for the Treasury and the Post Ofßce between xhern to divine a workable scheme for recording such an exchange. —I am, etc., INVESTOR.
