As a matter of iact, howover subscribers may pay up in urn monthly instalments of £10 eaoh, mairing tho averaso daw of payment Juno 16 approximately. Seeing tiiat subscribers receive on December 15 £Z 15s. as interest, and the last instalment is not paid until November 1, the accrued interest amounts to £1 10s., ■which brinEß tho price of issue down to £98 10s. per cent. Allowing tor redemption at par in eight and a half years from tho averagedate of payment of instalments, tho yield on this loan is practically £4 14s. per cent, per annum. This oompares with £4 14s. 2d. per cent, for the first issue, £4 133. 10d. per cent, for tho second, and £4 13s. 6d. for the third, which closed finally on September 2. Tho usual facilities are Elven to subscribers, applications accompanied by a deposit of £10 per cent, being s * receivable up to February 8 at any bank, post office where money-order business is conducted, or by members of a Kcocnised Stock Exchange. The followine are the dates by which instalments must be paid: -March 1, April 2, May 1, Juno 1, July 2, August 1 September 3, October 1, and Xovember 1. If the deposit «nd instalments of the amount are .paid in full on or, before February 8, interest amounting to £2 ss. on each £100 subscribed will be paid on Juno ]5. and thereafter interest will be paid half-yearly at the rate, of 45 per cent, per annum. Bonds and transfers of inscribed stoclt will bo free of Commonwealth and Stato stamp duty, while interest will be free of State and Federal income tax. In addition it is announced that bonds and inscribed stock will be exempt from the operation of tlie wealth levy. In regard to this exemption it may be inferred from the use of tbo word "the" that this issuo is not necessarily exempted from any other taxation that may bo imposed in the future. WHEAT.
