A special committee of the London Chamber of Commerce recommends the restriction of enemy traders within the • Empire, State, aid in improving land and water transport, and the penalising of enemy shipping, State co-opera-tion witli promising trade banks to assist business abroad, wages sufficient , to secure to the worker a' reasonable ■ standard of living, profit-sharing copartnerships, technical education, preference by Government Departments and local authorities for.. goods produced , within the Empire, the non-return of any eriemy ships in the possession of the Allies, and the replacement by'the ; enemy of all ships sunk.—-Aus.-N.Z.
