FOURTEEN PERSONS DROWNED. (Rec. January 1, 10 p.m.) London, January; 1. The Liverpool liner Alonora struck on rocks while, on a trip from Baltimore to Cork, and fourteen were drowned. The snrvivors experienced terrible sufferings. Great waves' washed over them for sixteen hours. They then reached a rocky islet and were marooned for twenty hours.
