WARNING TO MARINERS. Captain Dawson, harbourmaster! reports that ho liae received the following advice from Colombo:—"Warn all shipping that the Colombo light (white flashing every ten seconds) may bo extinguished at any moment owing to defective maoMn- • ery. A further uotico will be issued when the light is again in working order and reliable." . MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. Shortly after 8 o'clock yesterday morning the Manuka arrived in port from Sydney direct, and berthed at No. 1 South Queen's Wharf. An uneventful and fino passago was experienced. She broueht 365 passengers and 1187 tons of cargo for Wellington. On account of tho holidayseason, the Manuka doos not go south today as usual, but will leave here for Sydney direct on Thursday next. TURAKINA AT PLYMOUTH. Cable advico received* on Saturday reports the ajrival at Plymouth of tho liner Turakina. KUMARA' AT LONDON. . . Cable advice rooeited op Saturday morning reports tho arrival at London of tho liner KumaTa, which sailed from Wellington on October 13. PORT- ELLIOT PROM LONDON. Tho C. and D. Line advise that, the linor Port Elliot (ex Indrabarah) is at present en route from London to New Zealand ports. She . should arrive here about tho end of February, and. while in New, Zealand a special visit will DC made to Gisborne. Messrs. G. H. • Scales, Ltd.,, advise that tho barquo Rona is to come to Wellington shortly from Port Chalmers. At present she is discharging 'case oil at the southern'' port, and! will como on to 'Wellington after discharge is completed. 'Tho trawler Slmplon," which was recently purchased by tho Auckland City Council from an 'Australian firm, arrived at the northern .port from Sydney on Saturday.
