WAIHI HEEFS-GIGAMTIO. The mino manager of tho Waihi RoefsGigaiitic Consolidation, Ltd., reporting- for the'- week ending December 16, says:—"ln crosscut Going west from main drive at 4L point 275_feet north, wo liavo advance* tho faco 10 feet, making distance driven . west 15 feet. The country beinp penetrated is of a favourable character, carrying liipo quartz and mineral veins. The object of tliis crosscut ie to intersect the main lode, which has deviated, to tho west side of the main drive some distance back. Total distance driven from sfoaft now measures 390 feet, and in that* distance 18 sets of timber have be<xn N placed. Winding machinery is running- well, while water in Bhaft j© no trouble."
