■ y ETory effort is being made by the committee to make tho annual Catholic picnic at Karori Park a success. Tho fine grounds aro admirably adapted for picnic, purposes. Tho Waterside Workers' Banfl has been engaged, and will enliven tlio proceedings with music. Attractive sideshows have been arranged, and an excellent programme of sports for both aduit.s and juveniles has been prepared. Tho Tea. Kiosk will bo managed "by a committee of ladies. A special tram eer■viee has lieon arranged, and special tickets have been created. These ticket? provido for tho transit of the holder from any part of Wellington to the park, admission to tho grounds, and tile return journey. They also entitle tho holder without extra, charge to transfer from any line to the Karori lino and vice versa. They can be procured now for 2s. at W : hitaker's, Lambton Quay, and O'Kane's, Boulcott Street.
