Malls for dispatch by steamers sailing on Christmas Day : will close at 8 p.m. on the previous Saturday; also the mail for America and United Kingdom, via Vancouver, will close at 8 p.m. on 6at> urday. The only dispatches of mails by trains on Christmas Day will close as follows:—For Wairarapa, Hawke's Bay! Manawatui Rangitilrei, Wanganui, and Tarnnaki districts at 5.45 a.m., for Auckland and Auckland district at B a.m. The •City and suburbs receivers will not bo cleared during the day, but the midnight clearances will bo made as usual. On Tuesday, December 26 (Boxing Day), the Chief Post Offloe will be open in all its branches (except Money-order and Savings Bank) from 9to 10 a.m. Mails for dispatch by steamers will close at 8 a.m. and the only dispatch of mails by trains will close as follows:—For Wairarapa/ Hawke's Bay, ' Manawatu, Rangitikei, /Wanganui, and Taranoki districts at 5.45 a.m., for Auckland and Auckland district at 8 a.m. There will be one delivery by letter-carriers in the City and suburbs for which correspondence must bo posted at the Chief Post Office by 7 a.m. ■ The street receivers will hot be cleared during the day; midnight clearances will be made as usual.
