FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT i P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for increasing cast to south-easterly -winds. Expect dull and mi6ty weather and heavy rain, rivers probably rising in the northern and Bast Coast districts of both islands. Barometer falling everywhere. Very heavy rain has fallen northward of Kawhia and East Capo, and dull, warm. and humid conditions have ruled elsewhere. Atmospheric pressure is low in tho north, but comparatively high in the south.
