Lambs (812 penned)— Competition was very keuu, aud prices advanced 3s. per head. A fair yarding of pigs met good competition, and late rates were well maintained. There was a medium entry of stores. Last week's prices wore barely maintained. ADDINGTON MARKETS. Chrlstchurch, December 20. At Addington market to-day there were double entries of stock, as there will be no sale next week. The yardinge were largo. Store sheep were much slacker in demand, a,nd a large proportion was passed in, tho continued dry weather seriously affecting the prospects of graziers. There was a very largo yarding of fat lambs, the only buyers being butohers, who wore paying an average of about BJd. per lb., overall, which was above export level. Pat cattle were easier, as tho butohers required only short supplies, but some business was done for export. There was a large yarding of fat sheep, and they opened very firm, prices continuing at last week's level.
