REMARKABLE SCENES. . (Rec. December 19, 11.<10 p.m.) London, December 19. Tboro were remarkable scenes in Glasgow following on the ship-builders' pronouncement that prohibition must come if tlio tonnage on hand is to bo completed. People waited in queues with hampers outside the wholesale and retail shops to secure supplies of whisky, of which the stock in many places is exhausted.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
