MISCELLANEOUS OASES. Mr. L. G-. ltoid, S.M., presided in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. Eor insobriety, ■ William Thomas Brown and llobert Henderson were each lined £1. Lionel Scoullar 'was fined £1, and ordered to pay witness's expenses, for breaking tho city by-law respecting motoring past tram cars. • . i Arthur Sidney Denncy was ordered to coutributo ss. per week and Joseph Colquitt to pay 10s. per,week towards the support of children in industrial schools. Thomas James Hickey was ordered to pay 10s. weekly to maintain a child. For disobeying maintenance orders, George. Ireland and William Zander were each sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment, the warrants to be suspended if certain arrears.arc paid. A prohibition order was issued against Frances Thomas Clarke. Convicted of loitering for purposes ofi prostitution, Elizabeth .Brady was sentenced to one month's' imprisonment, and Rose Wright to twenty-one days' imprisonment.

John Jirittain was convicted of insobriety and of using obscene language. He was lined £2.

Michael Downie, who had been found illegally on the Te Aro railway station by night, was convicted and ordered to appear for sentence when called on. On a similar charge, Anthony Bannister was fined'£l.

Willianj. Tliornc, alias Sclibles, was fined £2 and ordered to make restitution respecting the obtaining of £2 10s. Gd. .by false pretences.

Michael llichardson was fined 10s. for committing an indecent act in a public street.
