GREEK GOVERNMENT CLIMBS DOWN
: , ALLIES' TERMS ACCEPTED EVACUATION OF NORTHERN GREECE BEGUN Athens, December 17. The Greek Government, in accepting the Allies' demands, notified that they would be- carried out as rapidly as possible, and trusts that the Powers would reconsider tho decision to continue the blockade, which is straining relations and impressing public opinion.' The Government expresses .the desire of the Government and people of Greece resumption of the excellent traditional relations with the Entente, based on reciprocal confidence. The evacuation of Northern Greece has already begun. Allied officers are supervising the transport of troops and material.—Reuter. STRINGENT CONDITION OF THE BLOCKADE. • Rome, December 17. | < Ihe "Tnbuna's" 'Athens correspondent states that the blockade is exceedingly striot. There is only sixteen days' supply of bread in; the city. The inhabitants have already bean placed on bread rations. Meat and vegetables are plentiful.
