That period of summer-timo which sets lis sighing for coolness and comfort _is essentially tho season of the negligee. When you arrive home hot apd tired, there is nothing so conducive to settling your ruffled nerves as, the throwing off of sticky outdoor things, and- tho donning of some light, airy creation of niuslin and lace, that leaves the body wholly unrestrained. Ono, however, should ho cautions in the cult of tho negligee. Over-indulg-onco in the comfortahlo littlo garment is apt to develop personal carelessness in the home. It is really meant for an hour of relaxation in the hedroom, and every woman should own at least ono of these luxurious little garments.
