SCHOOLS PRIZE LISTS
NORTHLAND Tho annual presentation of prizes in connection with tho "break-up" of the Northland School.. took place in St. Anne's Schoolroom, Northland, on Thursday. 'l'hero was a very large attendauco of parents and friends, and Mr. A. J. Paterson, chairman of tho school committee, presided. ' Prior to tho presentation of tho prizes and certificates, thero •was a short programme of musical items, to which tho following contributed:—JUiss AVillcox, Mesdamcs Dawson and Mitchell; and several of tho school children. Jlrs. Paterson presented tho prizes, the list being as follows:— Dux o£ school—Marie Holdsworth (prize, and wristlet watch presented by Mr. Lance' George). Class Prizes—Standard VI: Marie Holdsworth, Ist; Madge Nisbet, 2nd;. Jno. Newman, 3rd. Standard V: John Cooper, Ist; Harry Ivennatd, 2nd; Jas. Wilson, 3rd. Standard IV: Thos. Burkott, Ist; Beryl Holdsworth, 2nd; Bessie Claughton, 3rd. Standard III: Eric Simester, Ist; Herbert Craig, 2nd; Mary Cochrane, 3rd. Standard II: Albert Newman, Ist; Lance Kinvig, 2nd; Thos. Freeman, 3rd. Standard I: Dorothy Wickens, Ist; Stanley Goodey, 2nd; Francis Macindoe, 3rd. Prep. Standard I: Cyril Goodin, Tui Panting. PII: Alice Cooper, Claude Cassie. PI: Linda Winchcombe. Physical culture: Senior boys, Stanley Hunt, Jas. .Russell; senior girls, Marie Holdsworth, Dulcia Stewart. Juniors: Sydney Lewis, Jessie Bellman. (Silver medals were presented by Miss Benzoni to tho senior girls.) Handwork: Seniors, Beronico Kinvig, John Ellison. Drawing: Juniors, Denis Farrell,,Eileen O'Connor.
