Shortly after eight o'clock yesterday morning there was a stirring scene at the gates of Trentham Camp, when the Twenty-first Infantry Reinforcements completed tlieir three days' march from Featherston. to Trentham. The draft was in charge of Lieutenant-Col-onel C. R. Macdonald, • Chief Infantry Instructor, and was headed by the Trentham Camp Band, which had marched out to meet the troops on the road. The Twenty-firsts marched with dash and swing that has rarely been equalled' by. drafts marching in, and the men looked exceedingly fit. As they entered camp before parade hours there was a good muster of men of the Twentieths to cheer, their entry after a march which the •. Twentieth's themselves did so well a month ago. Save for a few showers early on Friday morning, the' Twenty-firsts had good weather throughout, ; and their work en route was carried out under favourable conditions. On Monday the troops will continue their advanced training at Trentham, which will include advanced musketry and trench warfare training.
