MINED OR TORPEDOED London, December 14. Lord Inchcape, at the meeting of the I'. and 0. Steam Navigation Company, announced that the Poona, 7626 tons, bound to India and Australia, but not carrying passengers, bad been either mined or torpedoed off Beachy Head on December 6. The vessel was badly damaged, and war vessels assisted her to port. She was now heing repaired.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THE FATE OF CAPTAIN BLAIKIE London, December 14. Mivßonar.Law, in the House of Commons, announced that the Government ivas taking such action as was thought necessary in the ease of Captain Blaikie, of the Caledonia.—Beuter.
