HELP THE BELGIAN CHILDREN

To-day at 3 p.nr. tlie Belgian Christinas Fair will be opened at Kilbniiio Park. The Fair is promoted by the combined suburbs .eastward cf Mount Victoria, and the proceeds are to bo handed to the Belgian Consul, to be cabled Homo at onco for the relief of destitute Belgian'children, and so bring some pleasure and Christmas cheer to many of the little sufferers. An opportunity is given to citizens to subscribe to a most worthy object, and at tho samo time have some enjoyment 'from the many sources provided. -Sports, games,- amusements, etc.-, "will- bo in- full swing, and an opportunity for--thrifty: housewives to do economical marketing will be found in tho many stalls which have been crectod. . A-large marquee will accommodate those.. who desire afternoon tea, and ice. cream stalls are being conducted bv . nearly .every suburb. ■ A lost.child tent, is.to.be erected and placed under..efficient con-; trol, and tho St : John Ambulance' Association have been asked .to havo a' representative on-the park ,to relieve any. mishaps whioh may . happen. A special- and expcrisnced committee, have been appointed to supervise the. drawing of. all art -unions. The.executive havo worked liaiti to ensure the. success of their effort, and fine weather should he all that is now required to ensure the success of the Fair.
