CASES AT MASTERTON

SEVERAL GRANTED

Masterton, December 13. Tho Military Servico Board sat at Masterton again to-day.

Daniel Gideon Bimlcr, station manager at AVhito Rock, called up under tho ballot, was granted leave until February 28, 1917. Reginald Leonard Braddley, dairy farm employee at Konini, who is the sole support of his mother, appealed on tho ground of undue hardship. The appeal was allowed..

The Board also allowed the appeal of John Connell Priest, a farmer at Pahiatiia, who is managing his late father's estate, and also the estate of a brother at the front. He had two brothers at the front, and one is going into camp.

Rasmus Peter Andrews Thoniasen, farmer, Eketahuna, was granted leave until February 1, 1917. Douglas Henry Alexander Chalmers, shepherd, Martinborough, 'who served eighteen months in New Zealand with the Forces, and was finally discharged as _ unfit, appealed, and the case was adjourned sine die.

The appeal of Peter Anderson, farmer, was dismissed by consent, Anderson to go before tho Medical Board, and if passed to he given two months' further leave to arrange his affairs.

Appeals by L. 0. Rossiter and L. H Rossiter, under Section 33, were allowed. -

The appeal of Erio Foreman, ploughman and wagoner, tinder Section 35 of the Military Act, was dismissed. -The appeal of Norman Frederick Foreman, stock manager, under tho same section was deferred, while the appeal of Robert George- Foreman; farmer, was dismissed. 1

The appeal of Albert Laurence Rose, farmer, of Mangatainoka, was dismissed, while that of his brother, Gordon Foley Rose, fanner, was deferred. The board returns to Wellington tomorrow.
