GERMAN ATTACKS ON FRENCH LINE DRIVEN OUT BY BOMBERS i London, December 12. 'A French official communique states: "A German attack at Bois de Loges, north of Lassigny, was broken up by our artillery barrage. Enemy detachments which gained a footing in our advanced trenches wero driven out by grenades. Our line was entirely reestablished."— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asen. (Rcc. December 13, 5.15 p.m.) London, December 13. Sir Douglas Haig reports: "Successful iiuning operations were carried on to southward of Yprcs. The enemy is usinghis artillery and trench uiortars opposite Festubert and Nouve Chappello. Tho enemy's ammunition dum.p at Vimy was fired. We bombarded by way of reprisals the enemy's support lino northward oftlie Ancre."
