BAIL REFUSED ON REMAND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christohuroh, December 12. Robert Semple appeared at the Mag* istrate's Court' this morning charged on four counts with, making seditious; utterances. Mr. Raymond, K.C., for the Crown,asked for a remand iill Friday nest., Mr. J. A. Cassidy, for accused, asked for bail, hut the Crown opposed the application. Mr. H. W. Bishop, S.M., said thai iff bail was allowed Semple might have an. opportunity of doing mischief . Tha i Magistrate had discretion in the mat-! ter, and in this case bail would be re« fused. An adjournment was granted till Frit day.
