REMINGTON PICNIC

At Day's Bay on Saturday tbe first annual field day of the Bemington and Eoneo Company was held. Delightful weather was experienced, there being plenty of sunshine and practically no wind. Although a large number of' guests went over in the morning, the larger portion waited for the early_ afternoon boats, and altogether it is estimated that about five hundred took the opportunity of the outing offered by the company. Meals'-'werc, of course, a principal item, and afternoon tea was provided, and everything from an ice cream to a cup of tea could be obtained. About G o'clock in the evening dinner was served, and also again at 7. o clock, as there were too many to be seated at one time The dinner was indeed,a creditable affair, taking into Consideration that about four hundred had to be provided for Besides this there were eight tennis courts, and a large lawn reserved for Remington guests, 'and the bathing-sheds were open to all. t In the evening a small concert with a few very good items was given, and then dance music was struck up, and the lawn turned into a dancing floor. At 10 p.m. the last boat left the Bay, carryin<r a wearv crowd who all agreed that the day had been an excellent success, and all looking forward to tho timo when the Remington Company would have another field day.
