• UNIONS, NOT INDIVIDUALS. (By Telegrap't-Presa Association-Copyrieht Sydney, December 9. Speaking at Wagga, the Hon. G. 5. 'Beeby (Minister for Labour) said that the present industrial laws were a failure, and the Government would be forced to repeal and fix the living wage end leave the adjustment of the conditions above the .minimum to bargaining, with the maintenance of machineryjor voluntary, conciliation and arbitration. Many tradors had a tendency to restrict output. The present industrial laws were reducing the incentive to greater efficiency. Tt was the intention of the Government to make unions and not individuals responsible for' stukes.
