DONATIONS TO THE YiM.C.A,

a! cheque for £71 2s. was received yesterday morning from Gisborno by the national secretary of the Y.M.C.A. (Mr. E. C. Brownell) towards the Trench Comforts Fund. Other contributions have also been received. _ A Christchurch contributor, in forwarding a donation of £2, wrote as follows: "After reading.your letter and booklot, I came to the conclusion that my family and friends would have to go without Christmas presents this year, to allow me to contribute a small amount, which I hopo will give our boys at tho front a little comfort."
