They : hold_ sewing, meetings 1 : every Friday evening, 'making articles to sell at the Market Street shop. The.object of the bhop is not merely to make money, hut to band all the women of the reserve together-ready, to help their King.and country in the most suitable way. The, meetings are held in a. good club-room over Everybody's Theatre. The managed has not only placed the room at their disposal, but has installed electrio light for their use. . Different members of tbe reserve-have given all<th'e~furh-' ishings as well as two good sewing machines. They made about £50 at their sweet stall, and hopo to double that ,on December 15 by holding, a social in the drill hall. They hope'to cable home a good sum for Christmas comforts for our men. The - members also-render valuable help to the Soldier Club entertainments.''; -. ■-.'■
